Good morning St George's,
One of the funny things about being a priest is we encourage people to think about life in terms of the seasons of the liturgical calendar but because we plan those services, we're always a little out of step - thinking about Advent in August for example. In the next few weeks Corporation and Vestry will be spending time thinking about our fall plans and I'm excited that we'll be able to share some dates for fall events soon that you'll want to mark on your calendars. You won't want to miss a single one!
If you're on Vestry, our agenda and a number of documents requiring careful review will be arriving via email on Thursday for our next meeting which is scheduled for Tuesday May 24th at 7pm.
Yesterday's service can be viewed in the Service Tab on the website or directly on our YouTube Channel. The text of my sermon, and the blessing I often use at the end of the service, can be found by clicking here.
And if you're thinking it's all well and good that church leadership is thinking ahead to the fall but you'd really prefer to think about spring and summer, then we have some good things in store for you as well. Our Men's Breakfast is meeting again and next week we're beginning an occassional series as part of our Sunday services. You can learn more about it by clicking here.
Peace to you all,
